About

60% of the course are hands-on with 40% lectures about the techniques and live or video taped dissection/operation (displayed on screen), all step by step. During the course, the participants will learn oral implant surgery techniques as described in topics, theoretically and practically.

In the practice hours, after theoretical introduction of the surgical procedure by the lecturer, participants can watch the live surgery on the screen. ey accompany each detail in “real time”, simulating a close 1:1 reality on the “patient”.

After the teaching and the instruction, participants will perform the surgical training on the fresh skull, guided by us, step by step. Four doctors are assigned to one fresh (not embalmed) skull, a well trained team is always around to help and assist.

TOPICS

• Osseointegration, systemic evaluation, bone types, wound healing
• Anatomic structures and radiographic evaluation.
• Dissection of anatomical danger zones in mandible: Lingual + inferior alveolar nerve, Mental foramen, Mandibular canal
• Suture techniques & practices
• Dental implant motors (physiodispenser) in surgical procedures
• Implant placement (on lower or upper jaw) • Immediate implantation
• Grafts & membrane
• Autogenous bone block grafts (Please note, you will only harvest the bone block from mandible. Fixation of bone gra s is not one of the topics in this course)
• Periimplantitis
• Epithelial-connective tissue graft harvesting techniques from the palate
